Joining this fast-paced retail environment has challenged me to learn, grow, sell, and lead efficiently and consistently. I manage in-home, in-store, and virtual consultations while being present on an active sales floor. I maintain orders for my clients, review daily order reports, and resolve issues as they arise. I create unique renderings for all of my projects, showcasing a range of design sensibilities to customers with varying needs and budgets.

As an independent designer, I’ve been able to maintain and grow a portfolio of clients through consultations, site visits, relationship-building, and research. By networking with local businesses, vendors, and subcontractors, I’ve built a rapport in several communities and consistently exceed client needs. I create perspective drawings, draft floor plans, design moodboards, and render 3D models as part of my services and design process.
Design Manager, For the People / Phoenix, AZ — 2022
I joined For The People to establish DesignHub, a suite of in-store and on-site design services. I managed client requests, led consultations, and created concept boards and renderings for residential and commercial spaces. In addition, I sourced and ordered products for the store, informed visual merchandising, and established new and unique vendor relationships. As part of my marketing strategy, I managed social accounts and designed collateral used in-store and at events to showcase our products and services.
Design Admin, Starbucks Coffee Company / Seattle, WA — 2020-2022
In this role, my focus areas included managing details, timelines, budgets, and materials for large store design teams. I created POs for outsourced work, reconciled accruals and budgets, managed the material library, and created moodboards to send to clients. As I grew in this role, I was able to participate in concept innovation exercises and stretch into other parts of the business. I also leveraged my eight years of Starbucks retail experience to inform and ideate solutions.
Designer, Anne Steward Design / Seattle, WA — 2009-2018
Over nearly a decade, I grew in this role to lead different phases of the design process, including initial consultations, site visits, efficient problem solving, and collaboration with the lead designer and various contractors. With a portfolio of over 300 projects, I managed timelines and deliverables, led concept and design phases, and facilitated ongoing relationships with clients and vendors.
